La República en el valle del Asón
"La biblioteca de la Fundación Orense de Ramales acoge hoy, a partir de las ocho de la tarde, la presentación del libro 'República, Guerra Civil y posguerra en los Valle del Asón' del que es autor Fernando Obregón. En este trabajo se ha estudiado el desarrollo de la contienda en los siete municipios de la comarca (Soba, Arredondo, Ruesga, Ramales, Rasines, Ampuero y Limpias) aunque también se han incluido dos municipios vizcaínos de la cuenca del Asón: Lanestosa y Carranza.
El estudio realizado por Fernando Obregón trata de recuperar una parte de la historia de la comarca. El trabajo ha sido elaborado entre los años 2004 y 2007 a partir de entrevistas a vecinos y oriundos de la comarca del Asón que vivieron la Guerra Civil en su juventud o infancia; las consultas en los ayuntamientos de la comarca de las actas municipales de la épocas y la bibliografía sobre la Guerra Civil en Cantabria. Se ha pedido también la colaboración de otros investigadores que trabajan actualmente en este tema.ImágenesEl libro cuenta con 540 páginas ilustradas con numerosas fotografías y se estructura en 9 capítulos. Entre los diferentes apartados figuran los dedicados a la Segunda República, el desarrollo de la guerra en la comarca, la represión republicana, la represión franquista y a la guerrilla de la posguerra.
Por último, hay un apartado dedicado a los vecinos de la comarca que murieron en la contienda civil, agrupados por municipios. El libro se acompaña de un apéndice documental y una cronología de la época en la comarca."
